Meet the Founders

SwiftDry began with a simple but persistent problem: sweaty clothes piling up with nowhere to go.

I’m Blake Sowell, and the idea first came to me after a long day of workouts and family life when I noticed the damp, musty pile of gear in our bathroom. Instead of throwing it in the hamper or wasting another load of laundry, I thought—there has to be a better way.

The spark really came from my professional experience. In my full-time job, my firm was hired to install ozone generators on hotel ice machines. After seeing firsthand how ozone could sanitize and eliminate bacteria, I was intrigued. I started experimenting with ozone in my daily life—hooking up a generator to our washing machine to reduce detergent use, cut back on hot water, and keep the machine cleaner.

One day, staring at that pile of sweaty clothes, I asked myself: If ozone can keep an ice machine safe and a washing machine fresh, why couldn’t it work on fabrics before laundry? That question became the seed for SwiftDry.

From there, I dove into research and testing. Elizabeth, my wife and co-founder, was with me every step of the way. As tennis partners, workout buddies, and busy parents, she felt the same pain points—gear that stayed damp, smelled bad, and demanded extra laundry cycles. Together, we imagined a product that could refresh and sanitize clothes between washes, saving time, energy, and frustration for families like ours.

That vision became SwiftDry. Built from curiosity, family teamwork, and a commitment to healthier living, SwiftDry is designed for anyone who wants to live an active life without the baggage of sweaty, bacteria-filled clothes.
